Degrees awarded by Private Universities
The Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (DI.P.A.E.) is the competent authority for the evaluation of the programmes of studies offered by the Private Universities operating in the Republic of Cyprus.According to the provisions of the Law Αρ. 107(Ι)/2011, degrees awarded by the Private Universities of Cyprus, after full attendance at the Private University, are automatically recognized and they do not need to be submitted to KYSATS for recognition.
In cases where credits/ECTS from prior studies have been counted for obtaining the degree, then the degree needs to be submitted to KYSATS for recognition.
Private Institutions of Tertiary Education
The Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (DI.P.A.E.) is the competent authority for the educational evaluation – accreditation of the programmes of studies offered by the Private Institutions of Tertiary Education operating in the Republic of Cyprus.All Private Institutions of Tertiary Education operating in the Republic of Cyprus, as well as the evaluated – accredited programmes offered, can be found on the website of The Cyprus Agency of Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Higher Education (DI.P.A.E.).

Based on the legislation governing the operation of KY.S.A.T.S., the Council evaluates and recognizes academic degrees awarded by Private Institutions of Higher Education, provided that the relevant programmes have been educationally evaluated-accredited by DI.P.A.E.
